My disc collection is inspired by movement. I am fascinated by the many ways in which materials can be joined together. This collection demonstrates how the movement allowed by each individual join facilitates the fluid movement of the whole. This was one of my first collections and remains a firm favourite. Each piece has its own character, but together they form a family. Which one suits you best?
The disc choker was developed following the success of the bracelet after a query from a customer. It is a substantial piece of jewellery made up of 33 linked discs. Each disc is 1cm diameter and measures 1mm thick. The intended length of the choker is 39cm, but the versatile links making up the extension cord mean it can be fastened at any length from 34 to 44cm. It weighs 28g.
The hammered texture reflects the light in different directions, giving them a sparkle.
All our sterling silver jewellery is tested and hallmarked by the London Assay Office.
Due to the nature of the join between the discs, occasionally the discs can become twisted with respect to each other. This can be easily sorted out by gently untwisting the join to straighten the discs. Using force is not required and could damage the jewellery.
