Green sapphire in rose gold pendant

This gorgeous green sapphire has the most amazing sparkle. With undertones of yellow, the 5mm round brilliant cut gemstone shines beautifully next to the pink hues of its rose gold setting. The enclosed setting protects the sapphire from the challenges of day to day wear, while the delicate but strong box chain allows it to remain light and unobtrusive.

Sapphire, also known as corundum, is an aluminium oxide and can vary in appearance from a colourless stone through a huge variety of colours including blue, green, yellow, orange, purple and pink. Red corundum is known as ruby. It is a hard and durable gemstone which makes it particularly suitable for use in jewellery.

The sapphire measures just under 6mm diameter in its setting, and is just over 3mm deep. The total height of the pendant is 24mm. The chain is an 0.5mm diameter mirror box chain, and is 16 inches (40cm) long. The whole piece weighs just under 3g.
